Jump Start: Energizing Student Leadership and Programming Within Your Music Program

Are you looking for new ideas to energize your music ensemble program? Are you wanting to provide opportunities that will foster student ownership? Are you searching for innovative avenues of programming to recruit/retain students as well as reach individuals who have not traditionally been involved? Join us for a thought-provoking week in the exploration of practical and successful innovations for your ensembles. We will address musical, social, and administrative elements that build a strong organization focused on nurturing student involvement and leadership. In addition to programming ideas for existing groups, the creation of non-traditional ensembles as well as the inclusion of special education students will be discussed.
